THE SUPREME MOTOWN SHOW
THE SHOW FEATURING
The Magic of Motown Music
In the 1950's, Detroit Michigan was a boomtown, the post war cars kept the assembly line rocking but thousands in the motor city found it hard to make ends meet.
The city's Bruster Housing projects were famous for the 3R's - rats, rogues and rhythm and blues. In these poverty stricken apartments, three school mates in 1959 formed a singing group and they called themselves "The Primettes" but after they auditioned for Motown Records, their name & lives were changed forever.
Motown Mogul, Barry Gordy Junior, signed up Florence Ballard, Mary Wilson & Diana Ross and in 1960 their name was changed to THE SUPREMES.
It took four years till they released "Where did our love go" and it not only hit the charts but it went all the way to the top. It was soon followed by "Baby Love" and from 1964 to 1966, The Supremes had 10 songs go to No. 1
Our show features The Supremes and other Motown greats such as The Pointer Sisters, Tina Turner, Mather and the Vandellas, The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder,The Marvelettes, The Weather Girls Gladys Night, and Gloria Gaynor.
With 7 full costume changes (in the 2 hour show), the visual is also fantastic. Featuring a caste of 9, the show moves effortlessly between songs & changes and offers all live & authentic backing with our top musicians.
